About Paradise Green

Our Purpose and Ethos

Paradise Green is dedicated to running welcoming, high quality theatres at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We are committed to honouring the underpinning ethos of the Fringe, through providing opportunity to all who wish to perform. Through this we programme a diverse mix of shows each year, spanning genres from musical theatre, dance, spoken word, comedy, cabaret and theatre, reflecting the best the Fringe has to offer.

Our reputation has built since 1997 to be known as a friendly, supportive space - balancing a relaxed atmosphere with a dedicated, professional approach for those performing, visiting and volunteering with us.

Our ethos of providing opportunity for all extends to our volunteers. Our team come from a range of backgrounds, united by a shared love of the performing arts to create the supportive atmosphere we all enjoy.

Governance

Paradise Green is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, with the company and venues run by volunteers. The company is owned by the members, all of whom are current or former volunteers. A board of eight directors are elected by the membership to manage the company.
